Japanese Cotton Futon Cover

Our futons are Made in Japan and consist of the following materials:

Cover: 100% Cotton

• Natural Material: Cotton is a natural fiber known for its excellent breathability and moisture absorption.
• Softness: It is soft to the touch, providing a comfortable and warm feeling.
• Allergy-Friendly: Cotton is relatively safe for people with allergies, making it a good choice for sensitive individuals.
  

Filling: 50% Wool, 50% Polyester (Anti-Dust Mite, Antibacterial, and Deodorizing Treatment)

• Wool:
• Insulation: Wool is a natural insulator, offering excellent warmth in winter and moisture absorption to keep cool in summer.
• Moisture Absorption: Wool absorbs moisture and releases it, keeping the inside of the futon comfortable even if you sweat during sleep.
• Elasticity: Wool is naturally elastic, conforming to your body for a comfortable sleep experience.

• Polyester:
• Durability: Polyester is a synthetic fiber known for its high durability and resistance to wear and tear.
• Lightweight: Polyester helps to keep the futon lightweight, making it easier to handle.
• Hygienic: Polyester is treated as an anti-dust mite, antibacterial, and deodorizing agent, ensuring the futon remains clean and fresh.

Core: Four-Part Balanced Urethane Foam

• Synthetic Material: Urethane foam is a lightweight and resilient synthetic material.
• Pressure Distribution: The foam is divided into four sections with varying firmness for the head, back, waist, and feet, ensuring even body pressure distribution.
• Support: This design provides optimal support for each body part, promoting comfortable and restful sleep.
• Breathability: Urethane foam is breathable, enhancing overall sleeping comfort.

By combining these materials, our futons offer a perfect balance of comfort, support, and durability.

Here are some tips for daily futon care:

• Sun Drying: Air the futon in the sun on sunny days to remove moisture. Dry both sides for best results.
• Light Beating: Gently beat the futon with a futon beater to remove dust, but avoid vigorous beating to prevent damage.
• Vacuum: Use a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle attachment to remove dust and mites.

The lifespan of a futon can vary based on usage and care. Typically, the outer filling wears out first, followed by the core (urethane foam in this case). The general replacement period is 3-5 years, but this can vary depending on usage frequency and the user's needs.

To store your futon properly, follow these steps:

• Sun Dry: Air the futon with its cover on to prevent the fabric from sun damage. Dry both sides for 2-3 hours each.
• Clean: Wipe the soiled area with a damp cloth if the futon gets dirty. Since this futon cannot be washed at home, use a cover to protect it and wash the cover regularly.
• Store in a Bag: After drying, place the futon in a breathable storage bag and store it in a well-ventilated area. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or damp places.
• Periodic Sun Drying: Even when not in use, periodically air the futon in the sun to prevent moisture buildup and maintain freshness.
